Our mission is to produce and develop diverse new works by American artists, both local and national; to cultivate and develop audiences to support the future patronage of American theater; and to provide a positive collaborative impact to the community, both culturally and financially.
Artistic Mission
We will produce two to three mainstage performances per year featuring well-known star and professional actors, as well as productions featuring local Northeast PA talent. Residencies will be provided for local theater producers and artists. We will maintain a diverse new works and artist development platform for national and local artists. This will include:
- Workshop productions
- Private and public readings
- Developmental workshops
- Artist retreats
Audience Development Mission
We will provide the local and regional community the opportunity to see high quality productions, featuring well-known and star talent. We will also provide the community with an opportunity to become involved in the development process of new works. There will be flexible ticket pricing and memberships for high school and college students, under-30 adults, artists, seniors and financially disadvantaged residents to allow them to experience to enjoy this art form. There will be numerous talkback sessions and post-show cultivation events to allow patrons to meet the artists and company representatives to discuss the work.
Community Impact Mission
It is our goal to create a destination for local, regional and tri-state residents to experience our productions, resulting in new business for local restaurants, hotels, bed and breakfasts, arts and craft shops, recreational facilities, and local businesses in general. We also strive to increase tourism to the region, to involve local and regional high school and college students as both patrons and artists, to encourage entertainment producers (Theater, TV, and Film) to attend events in order to introduce them to the region, and to provide an opportunity for local residents to get involved in theater, and possibly, television and film productions.
